The tile is a temporary fix until I decide to do something more permanent in the next few years. It will at least allow me to have a clean floor rather than walking across splintered hardwoods caked with grease and ... stuff.
When I saw your title and then your pictures I thought I was going to see water seeping in and ruining all your hard work on that lovely new kitchen....Glad I was wrong! I like the new tile, even if it is temporary.
Glad you weren't flooded. Interesting flooring, is it formica or linoleum? I think it looks good, even if it is only temporary. It will probably last you a good while.
We had a thunderstorm dump a good amount of rain yesterday afternoon. We needed it.
