No wonder the dogwoods on Pee Dee Ave are turning red. The berries are ripe on a few. I see a maple in the backyard is beginning to turn yellow too. It's early.
9:55am - In the basement, 10 items were ready for potting up.
I have three rooted white hibiscus.
Five Turn of the Century Hibiscus, a snowball viburnum, and one giant white pussywillow completed the tray.
Jim's alstroemeria is growing in one pot.
And on the chimney, a new morning glory has bloomed. Don't know where it came from. Don't care. I like it.
Five shasta daisies were transplanted from the no longer white bed to the crape myrtle bed. I also scattered more seeds of verbena bonariensis and Echinacea tennesseensis.
It's 61 degrees. I didn't get bitten by a single mosquito.

Did you start taking up the kitchen floor? I plan to rip our carpet out later this fall and hope their is a nice wood floor underneath.

It has been a cool summer here resulting in very few mosquitoes. Only had to use m. dope a few evenings recently. Love it but wonder how that is affecting the birds. I can't gauge by my bird feeder attendance as neighbor's cats have been stalking the birds there this summer so not many birds coming.

FlowerLady, the cloner is easy to build. If you've ever put together an aquarium, you're halfway there. You can even use a shoebox container if you want to make smaller one.
It's getting there Bobbie. Still hobbling a little, but bruised bones take time.
I did start ripping up the floor. Now I have a mess. I think they nailed the plywood every 4 inches along the perimeter.
Thanks Cameron. No nursery plans for me. I still need more plants to put in my own yard. I might host a plant sale in the spring, just for kicks.
Laura, I don't know about all, but the ones I have grown seem to. Actually, bindweed, the wild version, has tiny flowers on some varieties.
