I bought the paint several months ago. It was on the "oops" shelf at Lowe's. In my mind, it was a spring green, bright and cheerful, the color of new leaves in April. On the wall, it's too heavy, too solid, too green. I don't like it.
It's 52 degrees this morning at 5:40am. It's been raining since 9pm last night.
12:18pm - It's 63 degrees. Yes, 63. It's muggy outside.
The color with daylight is a little more yellow. I'm still not sure. I don't hate it, but it's not what I had envisioned. All the wainscoating and trim will be gloss white. The countertops are dark. The floor will likely be stained a warm, deep brown.

I love it!
I love it as well. You might feel different after some furniture is placed in the room, and art hung. Then you will only see a small amount of it.
It's hard to tell on a monitor, but in all honesty from this viewpoint it reminds me of split pea soup. I think I'd try something else.
Why don't you stain the wood and paneling ? It would make it so rich and warm.

Don't give up on it too soon....accessories can make a big difference!
Jim, the wood is not consistent through the room. Some is MDF, some is pine, some is whatever was here. So staining it is out of the question unless I re-replace it all.
I've toned the green down a bit with some other paint I had in the basement. I'm doing a second coat now. I'll paint the trim later this week, I hope. That should make a big difference and make the green less obtrusive.
Darla, you're right. The white shelves on one wall and the glass and pottery will make a difference.
Pea soup. Exactly.
I like the woodwork that you have put on the walls. ItB is really done well. I can't say on the color as I have never fallen in line with these bolder color looks. I can see everyone buying the coverup paint to ditch it back to a lighter color. Being an artist, I would dump some white in it and see what it becomes. Do it with a cup of color and add to see what it becomes. Blue would make it greener and red would make it duller.
You've got to give it a chance. I'll email you a photo of our garden room. We get so many compliments on the wall color (similar to yours, but ours is Sherwin-Williams) with glossy white trim.

Thanks LD. I took some time to get it right where it counts. Some areas are a little slapdash, but who's going to be pulling the fridge out to check?
Cameron, thanks for the picture. It helps to see it with white trim. I'm nervous about the dark countertops I've chosen, but it is only paint. It's very easy to change. It's beginning to grow on me.
I rather like it...then again, I'm partial to strong/bold colors. Are the inside of those cabinets really orange...unexpected, but kinda awesome with the green!
Scott, the inside of the cabinets are maple. In the photos it does look orange.
