Regarding Daffodoils.

In the fall, I planted 4 bags containing a little more than 100 mixed daffodils each. Obviously, they weren't quite as mixed as I would have liked. I counted 5 non-yellow blooms this afternoon. Three are on the front slope and another two in the backyard.

The slope.

The backyard.

The uncommon one.

Though it's hard to see, the dogwood leaves are the size of mouse ears.

It's 63 degrees. The sun is shining, sometimes. It's a nice day to work outside. More rain possibly this evening.

Tom,
That uncommon daff is Ice Follies the cone will turn white with gae. Oh, it is the third most common daff there is.

Randy, I knew they weren't uncommon in the general sense. I see them all over town. Just from the bags I planted, they are not the norm. I was hoping for a lot more variety in those packs, but I did only pay $4 for over 400 bulbs, so I guess I can't be too picky.

Hi Tom,
Well, there may not have been much variety, but they sure are providing some nice color to the beds. I look forward to seeing your beds through the season.

Tom – nice to see daffodils popping up! Here in So.Cal. it's pretty hard to grow 'em in your garden. You can get a few to appear but nothing like the south and the east. So, if I want the real–deal I go to a florist and buy them!
