No alarm clock needed.
It started this morning about 6:30am. The first series of hoots sounded far off in the distance. I was barely awake. By the time I had made my coffee, they were much louder. The owls were somewhere in the backyard. The other birds were sounding the alarm. I grabbed the camera and headed outside. The owls were gone. The birds were not.
It's 43 degrees. I will mow the grass today. I will do some more weeding and edging. I might even scrape some paint, but I wouldn't count on it. The forecast is for the mid 70s again.

Hey Tom, I like the frequent pic changes at the top of the blog. One never knows what nice shot shows up. I should change mine, but am too lazy I guess.
Watching your gardens now is like seeing our Ohio gardens, only 2 months from now. Tom's time machine blog. ;-D

We heard a different bird song this morning, and neither of us knows what it was. At first I thought it was a cardinal, but it wasn't. I'll have to see if I can locate what bird is singing in the trees.
It's 'warm' here today, breezy, partly cloudy. I just checked and it's 76. I hope summer weather isn't right around the corner, but I'm afraid it might be. Dang.
Enjoy your day Tom. I pruned roses and bougainvillea that are growing up and over my shed.

I remember visiting in Minnesota and early morning before anything was up the birds of every kind decide to call at the same time. My cockateils will do that but they sleep in and when they all decide it is time to chirp they all get very excited.
