Happy first day of spring Tom. How thrilling to have your first daffy bloom. Enjoy, and may the other 199 be following right close behind. I look forward to seeing them all in bloom. What a lovely spring statement they will make.
Nell, they were all mixed. Some should be white with yellow cups, others solid white. The first two have opened and are yellow. Seems they're always the first to arrive.

The stalk really bend at 90 degrees. Will it straighten up when the sun appears in the morning? ~bangchik
These are up or are you are planting them?
Bangchik, that's what the daffodils do. They keep their stalk bent.
Darla, these are the ones I planted back during the winter. No, I wasn't out gardening at night.

There's just something about those first daffodil blooms..........
I just have two clumps in bloom and they say those will soon be covered by 6 inches of snow!
I don't think any of us would be surprised if you were gardening at night with a flashlight!
Only 99 more to go.....oh what a reason to celebrate Spring!
Did you plant mixed daffodils, or all one kind? Either way is wonderful, in my opinion.
