I'm cold.

I am so over this winter crap. When I went to bed last night, it was 29 degrees. This morning at 7am, it was 18. It's 19 almost an hour and a half later. This is not normal for us. We should be in the mid/upper 30s at night by the end of February. The Weather Channel says two more days of this before we return to normal. Come on Wednesday!

The forsythia across the street agrees.

It's still 19 degrees. Sunny and clear.

I hear you, Tom! Enough already! At least you have more growth emerging than my plot in NJ. Love the up close pic of the rose stem.

Hi Tom, it could be covered in snow too. Then it would be worse. I hope your better weather returns soon. It was snowing in Idaho at bedtime last night. What a difference a state makes.

We had a snow storm on Saturday, then lake effect snow all day Sunday. I was shoveling drifts of 1 1/2 - 2 feet of snow last night. Seeing the bare ground and a bit of green is a relief to my bleary eyes.

Still don't know how you all do it. I can handle a little snow from time to time. Days on end, I'd go nuts.

You sound like me, Tom. I am acutely aware of when the temperature is below what it is "supposed to be" and feel quite resentful if I am cheated out of eight or ten precious degrees, especially as winter wears on and on. I enjoy your blog. You've got a cool house too!
