We are always happy to share our snowfalls...hope all of your plants are protected. Nothing is more devastating than loosing our favorites. The snow is usually not the problem, the freezing temps are the killers....
Have a safe, warm and freeze-free weekend...
God Bless
LOL..verification word is 'trada'...I will 'trada' day of yours for mine...it's 11 below this morning.

I have to laugh when I read this. I've been reading your blog over a year now.....It sounds just like last winter.

If it is supposed to get very cold, pray for snow. It is a great insulation.

We are just supposed to have cold, 14°.... no snow. Don't know how it will affect the daffs and tulips.

No sun in sight.

Watch out for the snows that approach from the south - they have historically dumped the most snow on NC!

It's so dreary outside, I'd just as soon be looking at the white stuff.

Push that blue on over to Tallahassee would you?

Hopefully your ground temperature will be so warm than it will just puddle. I will be anxious to see how it turns out.

It is snowing to beat the band in Atlanta at the moment, and we've probably got an inch or so on the ground. Typically by this point it would be changing to rain, but the forecast is for the temps to drop rather than raise....if what Cameron says is true, look out!

Dar, nothing will really be hurt by the snow here. All my tender varieties are still in the basement under lights. The wintersown plants will be fine too.

Jim, I'll be glad when spring arrives. So tired of cold and wet weather.

Glenda, we should have sun tomorrow after the snow ends. More coming Monday.

Cameron, where I grew up in SC, it's been snowing for more than 2 hours. They're expecting more than us.

Darla, I would love to send some your way. This is just not what I wanted.

LD, we'll know in the morning what it ends up being. I suspect 4 inches, at least.

Tim, when Atlanta gets snow, we get hammered, usually. The overnight low is going to be 28 here.

It's been snowing here since 3:00 - we have about 3 inches of snow on the ground and roads - it's heading your way!

I'm in the same snow here in upstate, SC.

I just checked the snow depth on my front porch, 3.5" (10 PM) in the last 5-hours.

I just watched the local weather on the news (Spartanburg,SC).

Next couple of days high will be around 40deg.

All this snow will be gone by Monday...

I was quite surprised when the snow started accumulating -- I figured it would melt straightaway. But we ended up with about as much snow as I've seen here.

I'm ready to get out and dig, however. Your prepared bed looks nice!

Tom - two things I don't get: how one copes with all that cold for months on end, even when the snow can be so spectacularly beautiful and whether all your dissipline about your cuttings and seedlings andfinding moments for garden jobs keeps you sane or is a sign that you've gone mad... ;) Jack
