Today

For the showing that was canceled.

The first hyacinth along the front walk.

A crocus under the arbor.

The new camellia.

Hanging in there.

It was 28 degrees this morning with a very heavy frost on low lying areas. I'm worries about my peaches.

What nice bouquets from your gardens and wonderful blooms starting to pop up for you. Yikes ~ 28 degrees. We have had it be 31 on the first day of spring before, so won't rule out more cold weather just yet.

Have a great weekend ~ FlowerLady

Well I hope your peaches make it through- hopefully your temps will go up. I miss my bouquets (moved and starting over) and I refuse to have 'foreign' flowers in my house! Is that Anemone behind the crocus?

Larkspur. It reseeded all over the place.

Peaches usually hold back a few tight buds, hardly noticeable, so if the open blooms get blackened, they can try again. There's seldom a year when there are NO peaches.

Annoying to get all ready for a showing and it becomes a no show. How long until you can take it off the market?

Tom, don't get discouraged. That client might still come back. Spring is coming and warm weather seems to bring out prospected clients.I know what you're going through, I had my previous home on the market in the wintertime too. Somebody's going to come along and love that house like you do and love what you have done to it. Did the realtor call you back and tell you why the client cancelled? Be assertive and ask if she has anymore prospects lined up? When is your sale contract with this realtor up? Have that realtor held any OPEN HOUSE? You know you don't have to leave when a client comes, just be out of the house. You can go and sit in the swing and read till they leave.

Nell, I checked this morning. The peach blossoms aren't blackened at all. I planted the tree on a slope hoping that would help in the case of frosts and cold snaps.

Betty, I've talked to the realtor. The showing was canceled due to other obligations. That's all we were told. Due to work, I doubt I will have time to talk to her this week, but I will soon. I may let the contract run out. I might cancel it.

Things are looking great. You are facing some major changes in your life and I can see why you have doubts creeping in. The change is hard but maybe the future will be a brighter one. I wish you well.

Tom, the bouquet is beautiful, a very nice touch.

I am told the smell of bread or other baking is a welcoming thing too.

I am impressed by your self-seeded larkspur. I am have having a hard time getting them started again...and I pulled up a few that did make it while weeding!
