It's 66 degrees. Storms possible again this evening with a high in the mid-70s expected. Carla and I have tentative plans to haul some compost for our vegetable gardens before work. I'll give her a call in a few. I bought my tomato plants yesterday. Yeah. The ones from seed were donated to the squirrels.

Tom, these pictures could be used to illustrate what a cottage garden looks like. You have done a super job.
It looks great there, so many flowers! I don't know when the irises will be blooming here, still no buds. I guess they are waiting for it to finally warm up around here.
Thanks everyone. It's really overgrown with weeds right now, but the way I see it, that's not a bad thing. It keeps the soil cool on hot days. They will die when the temperatures start hitting the 90s. They're all over the place and eradication would take more time than creating the garden originally. And I'm sure they can be considered green manure, right?

Your iris are so beautiful! Next year I'm going to try some here in the desert. My daffodils surprised me by surviving and blooming so I'm hoping for iris - they're really my favorite!

Tom, I was looking at some of your other posts last year and saw your great photos of Dame's Rocket. Have you found it to be invasive as some of the internet articles say? I love the look of it but don't want to start a problem in my medium sized gardens with an invasive plant. It seems to have a bad reputation. I'm in zone 7. Thanks, Judy
Tom, those iris and your clematis are so pretty. Yesterday we were out shopping and I noticed one place had nothing but yellow and purple pansies planted and it was so effective. It was a soft yellow too, usually you see the darker shades.
What clematis is that? I dug up all my Yellow Iris last year and gave them away but I'm leaning toward getting some again but make sure they are not 3 ft. tall like the ones I gave away.
Tom, I noticed photos in one of your past posts showing lovely photos of Dame's Rocket. I was thinking of getting this plant but read on the net how invasive it is. I wonder if you could tell me if it has been invasive in your yard? I am zone 7. I just don't want to get started with a plant that will be hard to control.
