It is a great smell. We had farm field fires around here as the sparks from machinery are setting the dry corn stalks on fire. That is a neat photo of your brick home.
I love that scent too, although I've not lived with it all that much. Every time I smell it, I am transported above the mundane. I just can't put it into words, but know that you know what I mean. It's a clean, earthy, therapeutic scent. Enjoy ~ FlowerLady
We smell it less and less out here in the country. I think all our neighbors are getting older, including us, and they aren't using wood anymore.I am getting ready to build an outdoor fire to burn some garden cleanup...that will give us a smell!
Another great scent of winter. Love the count down to Spring!
