I want to move some plants back to the hoophouse, but I think I will wait until Saturday. We could get near freezing Friday night, and I don't want to move everything twice. Patience is not a virtue of mine.

Amen, Randy. I wasn't sure how many more days of rain I could take. We're still about 1.5" below normal, but I'd guess we got more than Charlotte. I've dumped a 1" deep container three times now.

What a hopeful bunch of sprouts!! You are making me wish I had wintersowed. I didn't this year on account of my massive bad mood and garden discouragement (which I hope I'm recovering from now). I'll miss having all those little ones to put out. Oh well...I can look forward to the Sweet Williams I started last year. If all goes well this should be the year for blooms.

Linda, it's still not too late. You can wintersow all the way through Friday of this week. After that, it's springsowing.
Just when I think I can't believe what you've grown I see lilacs and dogwoods. Those will be great to watch get bigger. Please keep sharing pictures of them as they grow.
Catherine, I'm worried about the lilacs here. I believe it will get too hot for them. If it does, how about I pack them up and send them to you?
Dogwoods reseed easily here. They need a warm period then 90 cold days then another warm period to germinate. I planted those in October. Our first frost wasn't until late November. We dipped below freezing a few times prior to that, but no frost.
