It's garden related.

In May 2007, just before I bought this house, I took a trip with Laura to Chicago. If I remember correctly, I was in the range of 240 pounds.

Three and a half years later, I've shed a few layers. My job keeps me moving. I eat better. And, I garden. All those days of pushing myself around the yard have finally paid off. This morning, the scales gave me the news.

I just had to get a comparison shot. I do love before/after moments.

I did what I came to do. I fixed me and the house. I made both into something I am proud of. I've still got a little further to go on both, but there's time. Winter will be here soon. It's 66 degrees. I don't think we'll hit the 70 degree mark today. Last night, I installed the electric blanket on the bed. The cat slept with me all night.

Congratulations! Gardening is the absolute best kind of exercise - and it just inspires healthier living in every way, don't you think?

I can do the not eating of a lot of food and when it gets down to it the activity and hard work takes the weight off. Good for you.

Amazing difference! Pat yourself on the back; you deserve it! I bet you feel better too. I'm real proud of you. Hope your visit to Ashville was enjoyable; did you get to visit the Biltmore Mansion and see their gardens?

You go Mr! Jamie and I both put on 30 pounds this summer, the older I get the harder it is to lose.-- Randy

Have you met your weigh loss goal that you set for yourself or do you wish to get lower? Besides exercise, did you change any of your eating habits? A lot of people have said they cut out anything white, like pototoes, bread, rice, pasta, sweets and sodas and that helps, plus drinking 64 oz. of water each day and exercises. I love to walk and I need to do it again and stop talking about it.
