Fog

I awoke to a dark and dreary morning. The fog rolled in late last night. It should burn off by noon. The rain gauge had collected only 1/2" of precipitation in the last 24 hours. More rain is in the forecast after midnight tonight. The high today should reach the upper 50s. It's 37 and chilly.

The seed swap is still not finished. I've got another 10 envelopes to go. There are lots of seeds left. As I seal them all, I'll be stuffing them with extras. I really hope to get them all in the mail by Wednesday. Everyone's been very patient. I know what it's like waiting and waiting. Lots of wish lists have been filled. So there's that.

It was so foggy here, the deer couldn't find my roses.

Your foggy photo has a surreal quality about it, as if that bit of woods is endless. Love the holiday header!

Tom, the fog started rolling in here around 3 yesterday afternoon. I actually took some photos but haven't posted them yet..

It is a beautiful shot, but I know you are getting tired of all the moisture. We had a light coat of ice from freezing rain and then it snowed for an hour. It is all clear, but did enough for them to close school for the fourth day.

I woke up this morning and it was beautifully foggy. I told myself I should be motivated and get some photos. I then decided, "No, Tom will have some I can look at!" and went back to bed. Thank goodness you did!

Jim, that's a great comment. I'm glad the roses are safe for a few days. :)

Nancy, I only wish those woods were endless, but then I'd have deer like Jim and others. No deer here. Just a few rabid squirrels.

Darla, it's been here since Saturday night. I'm hoping it clears up soon.

Larry, it's nice to have the rain, but I'm sick of it. I have things to do outside. That firewood stack is getting low in the basement.

Tim, I would have taken more, but I was still in my pajamas and it was cold. Coffee was just finishing brewing.

We have had a few days now of tremendous fog and misty days. Like Seattle, but warmer.
